Call It What You Want.

Ok so there has been no sighting of Pete Doherty BUT! I did see Josh Beech. Who was on my list of people I wanted to see while living in London.
I was on a small mission to get a few things in Camden for work and decided to skype the family while doing so. They all got a lovely tour of Camden and the markets and then I saw him walking into the Vans store and I didn't know what to do.

A few interesting things to share with you this week.
First of all I saw Foster the People on the weekend in Brixton. Since Sunday the only band I have been listening to is Foster The People I have never been so overly obsessed with a band after seeing them live. They were AMAZING! if any of you have no seen them live and like them.. then do so the next chance you get. Mark is a amazing performer. What made it even more amazing and embarrassing on my behalf when I completely freaked out and jumped up and down (Judy apparently I was standing in the same pose.. Praising him like you did when we saw Paramore at Soundwave) anywaaaay The lead singer of The Kooks came on and they sang Hold On. Was pretty amazing especially at the end they just went all out and we going crazy on stage together. I also discovered on this night that I really like Brixton every person I have spoken to have warned me how dangerous it is and not a nice place to go to but there was  A LOT of good looking guys and seemed like a cool place. A lot cooler than Leytonstone that is for sure.

My favourite neighbours are leaving London for the Greek Islands and America in a week and a half which is going to be so sad. The worst part about living here in London and my living arrangements is that people are always coming and going un like me who is here for the whole 2 years. So there is a lot of goodbyes to new close friends. One thing I will not miss is the boys running into my room drunk at 4am on a week night and "borrowing" things from my room and my food/alcohol when ever I am not at home.
The baby fox we named Leonardo and drunkenly decided to keep for a day returned to our house last week. We cared for it for another day and then he obviously got bored of us and ran away.  I am so fascinated by some of the animals I see here in London especially the crazy squirrels. I can't stand how many mice there is in this city they freak me out as much as spiders which is one of my favourite things about this city. Spiders for obvious reasons are not common over here and if they are they are very tiny.

Piccadilly Institute.
The view from one of the rooms.
This club is where my neighbour Jade works and I have been hired as their photographer to take photos of people getting drunk and dancing. I spend a lot of time just taking photos of my friend...I'm the new Scott Mitchell over here. It's a amazing club with about 6 different rooms and when free alcohol is involved we always have a amazing night. One room is full of 90's music which involves a lot of dancing to The Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys.

I have discovered English people have a fascination with dressing girls up in ridiculous slutty outfits and having them just walk around the club for entertainment or as a door girl. This club is no exception the girls at the bar are either in black corsets and tutu skirts or in the "Science room" They wear short lab coats and glasses. The other girls are just dressed in corsets and tutu skirts/heels and walk around the club trying to get peoples email addresses so they can email them promotions. (It's highly annoying if you are out trying to dance or chat with your friends and girls keep coming up asking for your email) Another unusual but also convenient thing they have here is the lady in the bathroom. Basically there is a lady and she sits in the bathroom with a little set up of everything possible you may need on a night out from perfume and make up to thongs and hair spray I think she may even have a hair straightener. My favourite is the Lolly pops and chewing gum  which she sells for a ridiculous price. Imagine if they had this at Mona Pub and how much more time the girls would spend in the bathroom!

I just want to show everyone the free bottle of french champagne I was given and drank the whole night... (At one stage out of the bottle) We also had 3 bottles of Grey Goose Vodka sitting on our table. Poor Jade was mixing this with the champagne at some point. This was defiantly a change from our partying at "Church" and the local Australian bars.

This weekend has been a bank holiday which was well needed because work as been crazy and I have been extremely sick to the point that people at work would come up to me and tell me I looked like death. But I am a trooper and didn't have any days off I just survived on my Pret coffee. My favourite coffee place here in London.
Work has been pretty chilled everyday is seriously so different to the next. I am learning more english words and phrases. One thing I noticed that a lot of English people say is " This weekend going Cinema" Not "This weekend I am going TO THE Cinema" *Chloe Thomas if you are reading this do you remember the text message I received from that boy who wrote "Going cinema" and we laughed at it and said "You are a lawyer maybe you should know how to speak" Well it's very common over here to just cut words out of a sentence. It's very surprising how different us Australians are to the English. There is too many things to mention that I do at work that people find extremely unusual... It's possible that it is also just me being strange. The amount of times I have been caught just dancing and singing to myself in one of the studios. The things I eat like Banana on toast is weird apparently.
I got invited to assist one of our head photographers at Lords Cricket ground the other day which was amazing. I had to dress up and was treated so well the second I arrived. It was raining which is expected every day here and we had to shoot a lot inside. It was a pretty cool experience even though I am not at all interested in Cricket.

My house mate Rachel turned 19 yesterday (She is still such a baby) It makes me feel old. So 9 Clarendon had a party for her on Saturday night to celebrate. This was one of our tamer parties but there is another broken door after it got kicked down when someone got locked in there. Sunday some of us girls got to spend the day with Rachels family who came from Adelaide for her birthday. I was well jealous when I met them I almost cried. *Hint Hint Family feel free to just not eat for a few months and save money to come visit me. Even just send one of you over.. Preferably not Taylor while the neighbours  are still in the country. They will kidnap her from me with the comments they have said after seeing photos of her.

General Information about England/London.

Weather = Currently raining SURPRISE SURPRISE.
It's also cold again I have to wear a coat. I am scared Summer came for a week and had now gone.
I hate the Olympics. The thought of it is making me sick it hasn't even started yet and Stratford where it is held near my house is insane with people directing us to different tube lines ect.

The hype and talk about the FA cup was all anyone spoke about on Saturday.

I love the word Geezer and throw it into most sentences as much as possible

Goyte and Angus and Julia stone are ridiculously famous over here. Makes me miss home a lot.

A few little holidays are coming up for me.
Paris in June and then the south of France I am off to Biartitz. Then a cheeky trip to LA and NY hopefully in July. This has not been discussed with the famalam yet who are probably reading this thinking I am insane because I am currently in London but all will make sense when I speak to them.

Well I am off to speak to you all soon. I loved my Skype date with Sarah Johnson the other day and I expect a foursome from Charlie Rob and Anya VERY SOON! Can everyone fill me in more often with what is happening back home.. I will eventually return and I don't want to feel like I have been living on Mars this whole time.
Ps Peej; Mars Bar Milkshakes here...AMAZING!
