G'Day Mate

I feel so terrible because I have neglected you all over the past few months and been really lazy with my blogging and writing back to emails. To be honest I havent had the time to sit down and let you all know what I have been up to let alone write down all the questions I am dying to ask from you all.
I have attempted to make a few video blog posts but I just feel silly talking to my computer and they never seem to upload.

For my grandparents and family who find it ever so fascinating to know what the weather is in London I can tell you that London has personality disorder and goes between rain/sunshine/a storm all in the one day. If it could snow as well it would. It makes dressing for work very difficult in the morning.
When the warmer weather arrived I discovered that English people call a singlet a vest. I am really confused by this they also call thongs flip flops..Which is just embarrassing and I refuse to call them this. I do get laughed at and teased when I call them thongs at work but it is well worth it.
Before I continue I want to mention the comma key on my computer has broken again so please excuse the non existent commas.

So I don't know where to begin with this post the last time I wrote was on Valentines day and I suppose a few things have happened since then but I will attempt at writing this blog and making my life sound extra cool and exciting.
I started to feel like I was becoming a actual Londoner so I decided to change things up a bit and spend more time with my new Australian family over here. This consist of my house mates and my next door neighbours who are all Australian boys + the gorgeous Jade. For those that are Jersey Shore/Geordie Shore fans my house has become the equivalent to the lifestyle shown on these shows. To the point that we no longer lock or close our front door it is always open and we go between the two houses freely.
This is clearly a huge mistake and one day we will learn our lesson.
I think I actually spend more time next door than in my own house. For a while I was spending my nights next door watching horror films and being cute with everyone on couches and duvets in the garden under the stars until 2am.

I started to cut this down to 11pm when I started to really feel like a Zombie at work the next day.
As I said I was starting to neglect my Australian roots and was terrified when people here couldn't hear my Australian accent or when I caught myself behaving like a English girl. So I thought what better way to change things up than attend "Church". First of all I was warned by Anya to NEVER attend this place because she knows me so well and knew I wouldn't be able to handle it and I would hate it. But when you have a guy dressed in a hot dog suit and another in a Egyptian outfit with a bottle of Jack Daniels at 9am on a Sunday morning you figure you have two options 1; Stay in bed till 1pm. Make some breakfast and watch films for the rest of the day. 2; Get really really drunk and see what this Church has to offer. I obviously took option #2 and to this day regret this decision. I also want to apologise to my mother officially because when the boys came running into my room with the alcohol and costumes on and screaming "Doooooogies" I was on Skype to my family who witnessed everything... Mum either is looking into buying me a ticket home or figuring out how she can disown me as a child.

So Church is at 11am on a Sunday in a Church like you would imagine. But it also consists of a lot of drunken Australians..and Americans. Dressed in ridiculous costumes. The one hour tube ride there was defiantly eventful and for those who haven't seen the video on my facebook they should have a look at it so they can get more of an idea on what I experienced this day. Everyone on the tube hated us or felt sorry for us. When we eventually arrived there was the longest line I have ever seen to get into this "Club" when we got inside I automatically wanted to vomit. The smell/The slags/The naked people on stage/The sea of beer on the floor/The music it was all too much...There was no turning back now the only thing was to drink and go with it. *Anya; Before I left I had a quick 2 second decision to change out of my 8inch high red heels and put on my primark ballet flats. It was the best decision I made all day as I would have been leaving Church throwing those shoes in the bin had I worn them out. I want to go back to when I mentioned naked people. There was actually a black man on stage completly naked putting on a show then a punk girl got up on stage and took her clothes off and performed a show that I will never be able to erase from my memory. Towards the end of the day all the girls got up on stage and also took of their tops off showing how classy us Australians can be. Not to fear one member of the IBTC did not make a appearance up on that stage. I kept the Wilson name in tack and stayed in the audience with the boys amazed at how freely these girls were taking their clothes off.

After Church we went to The Walkabout. Those who have been to England have probably been to one of these pubs and I have managed to avoid them because it is a chain of Australian pubs. But I thought I already lowed myself by attending Church there wasn't much more damage I could do now.
The next day at work I was on struggle street and regretfully informed my colleagues about the day I had on Sunday. Since then they have done everything in their power to turn me back into a fake Londoner and make sure I never attend such a scary place. English people know of Church and The Walkabout they do attend it once in their life only to laugh at everyone and pull girls.

I am still working in Camden and I love it. I honestly don't know how I got so lucky with this job. I work with such amazing people who have become my English family over here and look after me so well. It's possible I am the youngest and baby at our two Camden studios. Most people look at me as a the little Australian girl who runs around being clumsy and smiley all the time. It has it's benefits because I am looked after so much; Dean always puts me in a taxi on the company card if I stay back till 3am having drinks. The stylists let me come into the castings rooms to check out all the hot male models. At 2pm drinking time usually begins at work and I am always bought Ciders by the film crew and then the best is when I use my innocent womanly and child like features to get the boys to lift heavy things for me.
Downside to this is when you fancy someone at work and they do look at you as their little sister. *Quote; You were still in diapers when I was raving to this music.

Work Drinks.

Being immature and real busy at work. The people I work with actually think I am crazy.

Works new website; http://www.fashot.com/

I got a small little promotion at work..WOOO YAY ME! I got to start shooting a few things for our clients and have started to go into the studio on weekends to play around with the equipment and lights. This was all going well until classic Renee broke a camera...It is easily fixable but not the best thing to do. I managed to work my ass off to let my boss forget about this and since then been asked actually "requested" to go on location with one of our head photographers. I am scared and excited about this as all I have been told is dress well nice but also be prepared for heavy lifting.
One of the best things about my work and I say this all the time but it is true is that our studios are in Camden my favourite place here in London. It's indescribable and if you have been to Camden you will understand. It is also the home of Pete Doherty..

On this note I want to mention that 90% of the people I work with have met or seen him frequently. It's 7 months since I arrived in London and the closest I have seen of him is a image of him on a bus and I served Karl from Babyshambles in a bar. My super stalking skills have lead me to know that he is currently living in Paris which means a trip to France is in progress...and that he has checked himself into rehab at the end of April.

I started to document my day with images on my iphone. When it got to 11am I realised there wasn't anything real interesting to share with you and all the cool stuff that happens in the studio I can't show. But here you go here is a few images from my day.

Michaela the girl who used to assist with me had to go on location to Holland for a week. Every day we decided to post photos to each other at work. She calls me Penay.
This is the result of one day.

I still live in Leytonstone and I am having a lot of fun living here especially with the guys next door. But they leave for America in 6 weeks which means all the Geordie Shore partying will stop and my life will go back to reality. So I am looking into moving closer to work and have a few options. It is also going to be a nightmare living in Leytonstone during the Olympics because I am so close to where the games are it will be impossible to get to work every day.
I have two ideas for accommodation during The Olympics.
1; Is to live on one of these house boats on the Camden Canal with Rachel.

I know what you are all thinking but it is a brilliant idea! Imagine living on one of these cool boats during summer in CAMDEN!
2; I can stay at the head stylists house for two weeks.
3; My boss last night offered me to move into his place they have a loft upstairs available he lives in Camden in a really rich area in a villa. Ps my boss is young and tre good looking and super cool.

Either way I think it is time I departed the ghetto and move onto the land of homeless people and junkies.... In Camden Town.

Concerts I am attending this Summer;
Foster the People.
I got free tickets to; New Kids On The Block AND Backstreet Boys...Yeah you are all jealous.
Free Tickets to Hackney Weekend
and T In The Park. I haven't bought my ticket to this yet but it is in Scotland and similar to Splendour in the grass...With Pete Doherty playing.

I was meant to go to Brighton for the Easter long weekend. That never happened because the boys were too unreliable and nothing got organised so it was spent in East London. If anyone has some suggestions on where I should visit in England pass it onto me. I need to get out of London soon!

A baby fox came to our party.
Quote from Mikey; "Renee we are going to keep the fox as a pet and when we leave for America we will hand the adoption papers over to you. Then you can have the fox as a pet... This drunken idea lasted 23hours.

Mum said I needed to take more appropriate photos other than photos for TD. So this was for her. Being all touristy

Nick my house mate.

Being cool in the park

So while writing this blog the smoke alarm just went off..I was cooking and I left it on the stove for way longer than I should have. I live in a 4 storey house and the whole house is full of smoke. Top to bottom. I wouldn't be surprised if the fire department turn up any minute now.
The best part of this story is no one cared to leave their rooms to check out the fire in the kitchen.
We have Mr Whippy here in London. Words can't explain how excited I get over hearing the song play at work or at home. Reminds me of being a kid and NEVER being able to appreciate or have Mr Whippy because the van could never make it up my hill where I live. * Why you make me go up this mountain.

Since living in London I have a changed a little bit.. Actually a lot.
Firstly I have realised that I am so gangster... At least I think I am.
I listen to music by; Azealia Banks. Dizzie Wright. Lil Wayne. Drake I dance around and pretend I am Jessie J and abbreviate words and speak like i'm from the hood. The other night at a party these guys said "This lil white girl she got swagger"
I was cool until I repeated the story.

I got taught how to Shuffle. (It's a style of dancing mum - Think LMFAO) I can just imagine her thinking of a Ipod right now so I needed to clarify that for her. So yeah I fail at it but I will master the art of it soon enough. Maybe I should stop trying while wearing heels.

I also know how to open a bottle with a lighter. It took me every night for two weeks to finally get it but it's a handy skill taught to me by my boss. The patients he had to show it to me every night.

Champagne isn't very big over here because it is too expensive. This is why I now drink Cider. But they do have a equivalent to Passion Pop/Peach Champagne. It is peach flavoured. It is unbelievably cheap and it comes in the biggest bottle ever.
Girls think of that time you go to Dan Murphys and you pay for your $5 bottle of Passion Pop and know you are going to have a great night as you walk out brushing off the shame.
It is exactly like that.

Before I go I think you should all watch these two videos to illustrate England.
First is Chas and Dave.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57l9O0keHFU

Claire and Tom; I assume and hope you know of them.  I got introduced to them at work and find it hilarious how English their songs are.

The second is Plan B's interpretation on London right now and what happened with the London riots.
Although the London riots have gone and passed there is still a lot of talk about what happened. I work with a lot of people who are from Council Estates and have strong opinions on the state of London right now and the government.

That is all for now.
Please start to skype me again more often I have a new Iphone that actually works so I can use internet when I am out and about on the streets of London.
